kulula is getting into the soccer spirit ahead of the 2009 Confederations Cup kicking-off in SA from June 14th – 28th by showing their South African colours and taking to the skies with the radomes (nose cones) of the entire fleet resembling soccer balls.
"The Confederations Cup is one of the most anticipated events of the year bringing together regional champions from all corners of the globe and kulula is thrilled to be able to show our support," said Heidi Brauer, the airline’s executive manager: group marketing.
"With the first of our planes showing off their new 'soccer-noses' in a couple of weeks time and the Confederations Cup being a brilliant dress rehearsal for next year’s World Cup this is an excellent time to get our fleet on the ball and dressed up for the occasion"
In further anticipation kulula has today launched a one-day seat sale, on selected flights over the Confederations Cup period.
kulula seats for the soccer World Cup tournament period next year also are expected to go on sale soon.
