Default Air Arabia increases flights to Goa to meet holiday demand

In response to strong demand for service to Goa, India, Air Arabia, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, announced today that it will offer an additional eight flights to the popular coastal city over the holiday season.

Air Arabia currently provides roundtrip flights three times per week between Dabolim International Airport in Goa and Air Arabia’s hub in Sharjah.

Over the holiday season, Air Arabia will offer additional service to Goa on December 17, 23, 24 and 30, 2009. The Sharjah-based carrier will also offer supplementary flights to Goa from January 4-7, 2010. These flights will depart Sharjah at 14:25 PM and arrive in Goa at 19:00 PM. Return flights will depart Goa at 19:45 PM and arrive in Sharjah at 21:40 PM.

As per its regular schedule, Air Arabia flies to Goa on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Sharjah at 22:25 PM and arriving at Goa at 3:00 AM. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, return flights depart Goa at 3:45 AM and arrive in Sharjah at 5:40 AM.

“Meeting the needs of our customers is the highest priority at Air Arabia,” said AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department, Air Arabia. “Therefore, in line with the high level of demand we have experienced for service to the Indian city of Goa, we are very pleased to announce that we will offer eight additional flights – at very convenient times – over the upcoming holiday period. We encourage all Air Arabia passengers to avail of this opportunity soon, as seating remains limited.”

Located on the west coast of India, Goa is renowned for its temperate climate and beaches, places of worship and world-heritage architecture. Goa is visited by hundreds of thousands of international and domestic tourists each year. With a share of nearly 12 per cent of all tourist arrivals in India, tourism is the largest contributor to the Goan economy.

Air Arabia offers visitors from Goa to Sharjah a convenient tourist visa service to visit their family and friends based in the United Arab Emirates.
