Air Arabia announced that it will shortly begin operating additional flights to Jeddah to meet the needs of Umrah pilgrims. Beginning September 18 and lasting until October 12, the carrier will provide 18 extra flights from Sharjah to Jeddah.

This special service will be available to passengers holding Umrah visas only. The Umrah service to Jeddah will depart from Sharjah International Airport and land at the Jeddah Haj terminal. These flights have been conveniently scheduled after ‘Iftar’ time in order to better serve customers who are fasting. Complete details of the flight timings are available at www.airarabia.com.

Kyle Haywood, Commercial Director of Air Arabia, said: “As the first low-cost carrier born in the Middle East, we are glad to offer these extra flights to meet the needs of religious pilgrims. During the Holy Month of Ramadan, when demand for travel to Jeddah for Umrah is especially high, we are extremely pleased to adapt our flight schedule to meet the needs of regional travelers.”

He continued: “By providing efficient, low-cost travel opportunities for religious pilgrims to the Holy Land, Air Arabia demonstrates its ongoing commitment to the communities we serve. During the Holy Month of Ramdan and throughout the year, Air Arabia will continue to meet the evolving needs of passengers traveling to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
