Air Arabia opened its first fully-dedicated sales office in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. The Sharjah-based carrier, which has provided direct flights to Kazakhstan since 2005, currently offers fours flights per week to Kazakhstan including two flights per week to Astana and Almaty.

Air Arabia’s new Almaty sales office, located in 77 Kurmangazy Street, Almaty will offer enhanced customer service, including both ticket sales and visa services.

By providing non-stop service to Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, and Astana, the capital and second largest city, Air Arabia serves as a vital transportation hub between the two countries, promoting increased tourism and trade between the Gulf and the Central Asian republic. Last year, Air Arabia enjoyed a collective load factor on the two routes in excess of 74 per cent, demonstrating the high level of demand for service to and from Kazakhstan.

“Air Arabia is extremely proud to have introduced service to Kazakhstan nearly four years ago, and opening our first dedicated sales shop in Kazakhstan reflects our ongoing commitment to providing timely and value-for-money service between two of the world’s fastest-growing nations,” said AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department, Air Arabia.

“Like the UAE, Kazakhstan is a rapidly emerging, resource-rich nation, whose economy expanded by nearly 10 per cent last year alone. It should come as little surprise, then, that commercial ties between the two nations continue to grow stronger. Air Arabia is very pleased to facilitate the strengthening of business relations, as well as personal travel and tourism, by offering non-stop service to Kazakhstan’s two largest cities.”

With a population in excess of 15 million, Kazakhstan is also the world’s ninth-largest nation in terms of total geographic size. It is the world’s landlocked nation. Almaty, the largest Kazakh city, is an increasingly important regional financial and business centre, while Astana is the country’s seat of government.
