AirTran Airways will add one daily roundtrip flight between Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and Seattle/Tacoma International Airport in Seattle, Wash., on May 6. The low-cost carrier will also add daily flights between Baltimore/Washington and the following destinations on June 11: Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles, Calif., and Portland International Jetport in Portland, Maine.
“Baltimore/Washington has always been an important focus city for AirTran Airways and a key part of our growth strategy for 2008,” said Kevin Healy, senior vice president of marketing and planning for AirTran Airways. “These additional flights will give travelers more options to experience our superior amenities, including Business Class seating and XM Satellite Radio on every flight.”
With the additional flights, AirTran Airways will offer Baltimore/Washington travelers 51 daily departures to 19 destinations. By June 11, the airline will offer two daily flights to Seattle/Tacoma, two daily flights to Los Angeles and four daily flights to Portland.
