We are thinking of flying to Hong Kong via Singapore from Darwin. Our main fear is that we arrive with Tiger at Budget Terminal at 03:50 and leave with Jetstar to HK at 06:40 from Terminal 1. Is 2:50 Hrs enough time to clear immigration/catch transit/check in at Terminal 1 etc.??
My better half is worried that we will be cutting it very fine even if Tiger is on time. Can anyone give us much needed advice??
Cheers

you will have no problems at all,in fact you will have time for a meal at the budget departure terminal if you wanted to.
I have transited through there at least 6 times and have been through immigration in a maximum of 30 mins after landing.
Turn right outside the terminal and walk about 80 metres and you will see the sign for the shuttle bus to terminal 2 which leaves about every 15/30 mins at that time of morning, dont think there is a shuttle direct to terminal 1.
When you get off the shuttle in the basement of terminal 2 get the lift up to the departure level and follow the signs to the sky train which will take you to terminal 1,if the skytrain is not operating you can walk through the terminals in about 10/15 mins so you should have no time worries.
