Hi,

I have a return flight leaving Sydney 31st August to Kuala Lumpur. It appears all flights are now cancelled September onwards.  We haven't official notification but this is pending (next 2 weeks) with a definite cancellation of the return flights. Has anyone had a similar occurence with a budget airlines? I imagine we will be offered a refund but it is suggested they may come up with an alternative arrangement. Knowing how Jetstar has treated its passengers in the past, I don't imagine we can expect to be happy with the outcome. Has anyone had an experience of a cancelled flight with a budget airline and if so, how was it resolved? I am wondering if we should book the return flight on another airline as it is my concern that once everyone realises what's happening all airlines will be booked out. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You will get some info about it soon, better try calling their infoline. I think they may fly you with Qantas on SYD-SIN and then Jetstar Asia on SIN-KUL. Good luck!
