Hi, any LCC's operating apart from Orient, Sri Lanka are cheap but the date and times make travelling with them not possible (along with Orient). Airasia/Macau is an option but means spending a night in Macau or Hong Kong on way back home which could get expensive and alot more hassle.

Thai AirAsia is supposed to start Bangkok - Hong Kong service soon. I haven't seen the exact date yet, but should be in the next 2-3 months. KL to HK flights are already announced on AirAsia Malaysia website.
