Hi everyone! I am the new member in this forum. This is my first time to create the topic here. I hope I can get some opinions regarding to the low-cost carrier.
The Low-cost carrier (LCC) is not being noticeable in Asia-Pacifice until 2002. A rapid developement of LCC in Southeast Asia and India bring low-fare tickets to customers. The LCC offers 40%-60% lower fares than the Network Airlines in exchange for some services limitation.
Most of the LCC in the world focus on operating short-haul services and targeting on the price-conscious market. The two new entrants of LCC, Oasis Hong Kong and Viva Macao operate the long-haul routes. The landing cost is so high in HK International Airport. How can Oasis Hong Kong balance its cost ? Are there any governement incentives to attract the LCC to operate in HK?
