Open Skies is here.  We should be seeing a lot more competition on the trans-Atlantic routes, and hopefully some budget options.  The only announcement of new routes I've seen so far, though, is from Aer Lingus.

I believe that Ryanair and Easyjet will take advantage of this agreement.

That would be great! 1 GBP airfares and other deals!

Though I spoke too soon about Open Skies.  It doesn't go into effect fully until March of next year.  Apparently Aer Lingus got some sort of deal, which explains why I haven't seen anything else like it.
