Hi guys,

Anyone been to Phuket airport recently?
Jetstar has delayed my flight from Australia to Phuket, leaving me 35 minutes to check in at the Airasia counter to catch my flight to Bangkok (Airasia state they close their counters 45mins prior to flight time).
Do you think it's possible to get to the Airasia check in counter in 35mins assuming my flight arrives on time in Phuket?
I arrive in phuket late November.
Also my airasia flight is at 8.30pm- you think it may be delayed? if it is - would that mean i would have more time to check in?
and has anyone travelled recently on Jetstar- do they arrive on time?
thank heaps!

Do you mean 35 minutes before AirAsia checkin closes?

Although Phuket airport is not very big, 35 minutes is very very tight to transfer from international to domestic flight. You will have to clear passport control, collect your luggage and then check in with AirAsia.

There is a chance that AirAsia flight will be delayed and it's possible that JetStart will arrive earlier, but I would not bet on it.

yeh i arrive at 7.10pm at Phuket and the Airasia flight is at 8.30pm
so i have 35mins to check into Airasia
Do you reckon it's possible?
Or do you know if it's expensive to change my flight with Airasia? next flight is 4 hrs later
Or if i do miss it, is it expensive to book at the counter?

thanks again

It's possible, but it's a big gamble. Any delay at the passport control or baggage claim and you will be late.  If you are 2 minutes late at the check in counter you'd have to buy a new ticket. You can change you ticket to a later flight on the AirAsia website. I believe that they will only charge you if there is a difference if fares. If you do this in advance it's not going to be expensive.

Here is a link to the "Change Booking" page: http://www.airasia.com/site/my/en/page.jsp?reference=onlinechange
