Ryanair, Europe’s largest low fares airline today (18th Feb) released 500,000 £5 seats until midnight Thursday for travel in March and April. The following day (Friday 22nd Feb) the booking engine of Ryanair.com will close down for three days for an upgrade to a new look booking system.
To implement the upgrade, flight bookings will be unavailable from 22.00 hrs on 22nd Feb to 23.00 on the 25th Feb. All flights will operate as normal but any customer who needs to change an existing booking will have to do so before 22.00 on 22nd February.
Speaking today, Ryanair’s Peter Sherrard said,
“Ryanair.com is closing down with a bang, releasing its best ever seat sale. All 500,000 £5 seats (including taxes) for travel in April must go before the booking engine closes, to be replaced by a new
www.ryanair.com three days later.
“We advise passengers who want to snap up the last seats on old
www.ryanair.com to book today as demand for these closing down bargains will be huge”.
