Hi all
Whats the go at Singapore's budget terminal, can u buy tickets there for onward flights.
Um ! what I am asking is, is there ticket offices at the budget terminal. I want to fly in from Darwin
(booked on net) then buy the next closest flight at Singapore airport to Bangkok.
Always used Royal Brunei via Brunei, but this time will try Tiger, to Singapore then if possible purchase on ward ticket to BKK with any company.
I know I can buy ticket on net, but want to know if available at airport.
Thanks in advance.

You can buy a ticket over the counter at the budget terminal from Tiger Airways for SIN-BKK.

You can also do the same with Jetstar and Thai Air Asia at terminal 1. Or with any of the full service airlines flying this route. Provided there are seats left on these flights.

Don't know why you would want to, but it will cost a lot more than booking online with Tiger/Jetstar/AirAsia.

Tiger ex Darwin arrives 6am first Tiger flt to BKK leaves 9.15am. Heaps of time to make connection. I'd just book online.

Cant remember seeing a ticket counter for purchasing at the airport.

I cant think of a reason this would be preferable anyway? By using net you can browse dates for cheapest option (same flight varies on different days). I would suggest using the internet services in main airport to book a ticket (instantaneous I think), and then strolling on over to the budget terminal to catch the flight if the flexibility means that much.

Don't forget Jetstar which also has good prices and flies from main terminals.

I was passing through the Budget terminal in Singapore a few weeks ago and snapped some pictures.

Entrance to the budget terminal:

Check-in counters and waiting area:

Duty free shops inside the terminal:

Restaurants:

Free internet  Grin just like the main Changi terminal:

I hope this will give you some idea of what the Singapore budget terminal looks like. It's actually a very pleasant travel experience.

Great photos. Thanks for posting them.  Grin

I guess when Tiger Airways starts flying to Melbourne, it will continue to use the budget terminal.

What kind of transportation is available between the main Changi Terminals and the budget terminal? Is there some kind of a free shuttle?

Yes, there is a free shuttle to Terminal 2 and you can take the Skytrain from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1

"Passengers can shuttle conveniently between the BT and Changi Airport’s Terminals 1 and 2 by hopping onto our specially designed 24-hr BT Shuttle Service. Through this service, you may access the MRT trains and public buses at T2, and also transfer to T1 using the Skytrain. The maximum capacity for the bus is 44 travellers, with a seating capacity of 22 and specially fitted luggage storage racks. The bus journey between T2 and the BT will take about 5-10 minutes."

Operating Hours and Frequency:

10 mins from 4.30am to 11.59pm
30 mins from 12mn to 4.29am
