Virgin America announced that tickets are on sale for service to Seattle from both Los Angeles and San Francisco. Flights between San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) will begin on March 18, 2008, with three conveniently timed daily roundtrip flights. In addition, three daily roundtrips between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and SEA will begin on April 8, 2008. Virgin America plans to add a fourth LAX-SEA daily roundtrip flight beginning May 11, 2008. The airline will also offer connecting flights from Seattle to JFK and Washington Dulles via LAX and SFO and to Las Vegas and San Diego via SFO.

Virgin America's new planes feature moodlighting, custom-designed leather seats and the most advanced in-flight entertainment system in the skies. The Red? system allows guests to order food, watch one of 25 movies or live TV, play a videogame, create a playlist from over 3,000 MP3 music tracks or even text message other guests from their seatback. Virgin America also plans to be one of the first U.S. airlines to begin offering air-to-ground broadband internet service at every seat. Starting some time in 2008, the airline plans to offer guests access to the internet (including any email provider) either from their personal electronic devices/laptops or through the Red? video touch-screen and keyboard at every seat.

Launched in August 2007, Virgin America is on its way to growing to as many as 10 destinations and over 1000 employees within its first year. With plans to serve as many as 30 cities in its first five years, Virgin America currently flies to San Francisco (SFO), New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), Washington, DC (IAD), Las Vegas (LAS), San Diego (SAN) -- starting Feb.12, 2008 and Seattle (SEA) -- starting March 18, 2008.
