a Singaporean in love with Thailand :*

I m a regular passenger of Air Asian, n i m always flying on monthly basis from Singapore to Thailand, since a year ago. And i will always catch their promotion ... those fly S$9.99 per trip or S$1.00 per trip.
Only till today, i went to see my account in Air asia online, then i saw the breakdown of fees in my next upcoming 2 trip.  ( Normally, when you print your confirmation, It only show the basic fare and a lump fee ( admin, fuel , insurances, tax all put together)

LOOK carefully, the 9.99 deal eventually add up and COST MORE.

My question is WHY is there difference in ADMIN CHARGES? S$10 vs S$4?
I can accept that fuel fee varies, BUT NOT admin charges, something wrong somewhere?

How far apart were the travel dates? Maybe you just caught the admin charge increase or reduction that well be permanent from now on.

Most online booking engines just combine all the fees and show them under "Taxes and Fees", which makes it difficult to figure out what makes up the fees. The fact that Air Asia shows you the breakdown is to their credit. You can send them an email an ask about the admin fee fluctuation.

travelling dates : one depart on 21 Sept. The other depart on 07 Nov.
Perhap booking dates were different, can cause such big differences in the adminstration fee?
i booked one trip in April, the other in Aug.
I emailed them but no answer...

I think it would be wise not to show the breakdown of the fees. It's common for the airlines such as Ryanair, Easyjet, etc just show 'Taxes and Fees'.

For me, Showing the total charge of 'Taxes and Fees' is much easier for me to accept the charges instead of breakdown the fees. I would be unhappy to see the various amount of administration fees.

My guess it that the administrative fees have changed.  I recently had to cancel and later rebook a frequent flyer ticket on Delta.  The change fee had gone from US$50 to US$75, but since I made the original reservation under the lower fee, it still applied.

Is the higher fee for the flight you booked in August?
