IndiGo Airlines is a private domestic budget airline based in Gurgaon, India. It operates domestic services linking 14 destinations. Its main base is Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi
The airline started operations on 4 August 2006 with a service from Delhi to Imphal via Guwahati. IndiGo Airlines had taken delivery of its first Airbus A320 aircraft in July 2006. Nine more are due in 2007 taking the total to 15. The carrier has set a target of serving about 30 Indian cities by 2010 with a fleet size of 40 A320s. IndiGo Airlines plans to receive all 100 A320 family aircraft by 2016.
