Founded in 2003, Air Deccan was India’s first low-cost carrier. Air Deccan was a domestic airline and operated up to 308 flights each day to 64 destinations within India.
In 2007, Air Deccan was acquired by Kingfisher Airlines and rebranded as “Simplifly Deccan”. In 2008 it was rebranded again as “Kingfisher Red” and currently operates under that name as part of the Kingfisher group.
